Things I was supposed to do in January:
- Activate gym membership
- Start going to gym
- Look into puppers
Things I got done in January:
- Looked at pictures of puppers
That was certainly a productive month. That’s not to say I didn’t actually get things done, just that none of the things I got done were for myself.
2018 is off to a great start as far as work is concerned. Good things are happening and I’m always busy without being overwhelmed. We’ve outlined a handful of projects we’ll be working towards and have also outline some professional development as well.
On the not-work-related front, not much progress has been made. Throughout January I’ve got up, gone to work, come home, and then done.. Not much of anything. Which isn’t really a bad thing, it’s just not what I’ve been wanting. So here’s how I’m going to change that:
- Activate gym membership – I’m going to do this
todaytomorrow. It’s already paid for, I just need to go there and get the tag thing.
- Running shoes – I need some footwear so I can actually go to said gym
- Gym after work; Monday, Wednesday, Friday – Not starting off too extreme, to build the habit that going to the gym is a thing I do I’m going to start off by spending ~ 1 hour walking on an inclined treadmill. I’ll listen to books/podcasts/binge TV/play Switch. Right now this is about building the habit of going to the damn place
As for the pupper, I’m still looking into things. I don’t want to put a timeline on this, for better or worse, but it’s not something I’m going to let fall to the wayside either.
The takeaway here is that I HAVE followed through with a monthly update. So I got that going for me, which is nice.
